I'll see you tomorrow — May 26, 2026

Last November, a man named Joe came in and tried to get me to sell burritos here. I wasn't ready. I didn't know him. We exchanged numbers and nothing happened.

A few weeks ago, somewhere on TikTok or Instagram, I came across a photo — a man selling burritos from his bicycle in Manhattan. Something about it reminded me of Joe. He had mentioned his partner sold burritos from a bike. I started thinking about reaching out. Then Joe walked into Fasan last week. I hadn't called him. He just showed up. Same order — hot coffee. I recognized him immediately. Lately I've been thinking and imagining so many things, and then one by one they just happen. I told him: I want to meet Stan. I don't even know why I said it. I just knew I wanted to.

Joe said sure.

Today(5/26), Stan came in with his bicycle. The moment he walked through the door I noticed him — even though I was still taking orders and making drinks for someone else. Something about the way he carried himself. He's 72. But I don't think he's 72. You can see it in his eyes — still like a little boy. I liked how he dressed. I just wanted to talk to him.

We talked for a long time. I was so focused on the conversation that I kept forgetting about customers walking in. But Stan would always remind me — gently, naturally — "someone just came in." He already understood what this place is. He knew where he was. And he knew why I was here.

Somewhere during the conversation I wasn't even thinking about burritos. I was just talking to him. And then I heard myself say: "So Stan, what's our plan for tomorrow?"

He said: I'll see you tomorrow.

This is Fasan. We never know what's going to happen every day. But what does happen is always something real. That's exactly how we want to run this place.

I believe it's not just about selling burritos for Stan, or bringing traffic to Fasan. It's something else.

I'm not sure what yet. But I want to find out.
